Greater Pittsburgh Specialty Advertising (GPSA) is a busy, growing apparel decorator and custom sports team outfitter, looking for an experienced Screen Printer (or Assistant Screen Printer) to join Our Team.

We have five automatic (M&R) screen-printing lines, four manual presses, more than 100 embroidery heads and a terrific local customer base, so there are great opportunities here for the right person to grow and progress with us.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of automatic or manual screen-printing experience.
  • Knowledge of color theory with press setup and multi-color registration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective communicator with a positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Attention to detail, with a passion for making sure things are right.
  • Experience printing on various garment material compositions with appropriate inks and curing settings is very desirable.

Job Duties:

  • Press Operation: Master our M&R automatic lines and/or manual presses to produce retail-quality apparel.
  • Technical Press Setup: Manage complex press setups, including precise multi-color registration and screen alignment.
  • Color Management: Manage precise multi-color registration and screen alignment.
  • Substrate Calibration: Select and apply appropriate inks and curing temperatures based on specific garment material compositions (e.g., cotton, polyester, blends).
  • Quality Control: Identify and correct defects mid-run to maintain GPSA standards.
  • Team Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members through clear verbal and written communication to coordinate production schedules and troubleshoot issues.
  • Workflow Support: Maintain a positive demeanor while supporting fellow team members in a fast-paced production environment.

Salary: We expect to offer $17 to $21 per hour to start, Negotiable BOE.

Shift: 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday- 8:30AM-5:00PM (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Education: High school or equivalent

Work Location: On-site, Reliable transportation and attendance is required.
